25.1. Die Reise geht dem Ende zu. Nur noch eine Nacht hier auf der Suedinsel beim Holiday Camp Lake Tekapo und eine weitere Nacht in Wellington nach der Faehre...
Am morgen gab es ein gemeinsames Fruehstueck mit den Enten beim Lake Tekapo Ferienpark. Die Enten waren total zahm und lungerten um unseren Tisch herum. Abends schliefen die Enten direkt bei unseren Zelten um am naechsten Tag die ersten zu sein um nix zu verpassen.
The journey slowly comes to an end. Its only 1 night at the Lake Tekapo Camp here on the South Island at the camp by the lake and another night tomorrow in Wellington on the North Island after the ferry.
In the evening while we prepared dinner we had lots of totally tame ducks hanging around, they even slept near our tents to make sure they are first in line for the morning breakfast we had tightly closed up this time, so no ducks could help themselves on our food. So they were there next morning to be sure not to miss anything.

Ich war hier bislang noch nicht gefahren und bin umglaublich erstaunt ueber diese Schoenheit die ich derzeit noch nicht wahrgenommen habe beim Lake Tekapo - (Alpen Abel Tasman und Mt Cook)

After a few hours we arrived at the Lake Tekapo village
Nach ein paar wenigen Stunden kamen wir in der Lake Tekapo- an ein See-Kleindorf
Die Kirche zum Guten Hirten, komplett aus Steinfelsen erbaut im Januar und eroeffnet im August 1935. Ich war nicht drinnen, fand das Gebauede und den Blick auf die Landschaft toll.
The Church of the Good Shepard was built with cobblestone in January and opened in August 1935

etwas kuehler hier in den Bergen, eine Fleecejacke musste nun her
its a bit cooler here in the mountains and I got my fleece jacket out
I couldn't resist feeding the pretty ducks- they were asking for food when we prep'd dinner
Ich konnte nicht wiederstehen die huebschen Enten zu fuettern, die fragten ob sie was vom Abendessen abhaben koennen, KLAR
am naechsten Morgen, immer wieder erstaunlich wie sich die Farbe vom Wasser stets aendert je nach Sonne und Lichtverhaeltnisse.
