Mordor - Desert Road Trip

Am Wochenende ist Tati in den Süden der Nordinsel gefahren (Coach Conference)

Last weekend Tati drove in the south of the North Island to a coach conference

on the way down she had to drive through the Tongariro National Park.
This was the movie location of Lord of the Rings (Mordor)

The weather was always extreme bad with hard pouring down rain, thunderstorm and grey sky.

Auf dem Weg in den Süden ging es durch den Tongariro National Park.
Hier wurde der Film 'Der Herr der Ringe' gedreht. Dies ist 'Mordor' das Land der Bösen.
Und tatsächlich ist hier oft sehr schlechtes Wetter. Bin diese Strecke jetzt insgesamt 3 mal rauf und runter gefahren und immer war Gewitter, extremer Regenfall und sehr grau am Himmel.

Notice: Steve ist mein guter Freund von damals als ich hier im Ausland war (2004). Er war mein Mitbewohner in Herne Bay, wohnt jetzt aber in der Nähe von Wellington im Süden, ca. 500 km entfernt. Ich war am Wochenende kurz unten und hab ihn auf dem Rückweg besucht. Ganz nebenbei musste ich doch mal das neue Gefährt begutachten. Ich war beeindruckt!!!!

Notice: 6 years ago, due to my time abroad (2004) Steve was my flatmate in Herne Bay, Auckland. Now he is living near Wellington in the south of the North Island. He now is approx. 500 km away. But I visited him on my way back home. I just really had to see his new toy and I have been very impressed!!!!
