Letztes Wochenende war ich bei Carsten im Norden Neuseelands. Nur etwa 2.5 Std Fahrt ist einfach zu meistern. Ist immer schön seine Osterhasis zu sehen, und die sind to wunderbar weich und lustig.
Last weekend I drove to see Carsten in the Northland. Only 2.5h drive was easy on the Easter weekend with low traffic. It's always nice to see his Easter bunnies; they're so soft and cute.
Nach lecker Kaiserschmarrn-Frühstück sind wir bei Hochwasser mit den Kayaks unterwegs gewesen.
Es waren ein paar tolle Stunden auf dem Wasser mit Wind, Sonne, Regen im Wechsel. Gut dass man sich beim Wassersport darum wenig kümmert ob man nass wird oder nicht :)
After a delicious Kaiserschmarrn breakfast, we caught the high tide for kayaking.
Quite a few hours on the water with wind, sun and rain in a rotation, it's actually pretty handy that you don't need to worry about getting wet when you do watersports :)

Am Sonntagmorgen hat es geregnet und wir ließen uns Zeit. Es ist auch mal ganz schön nicht immer in Eile zu sein. Ich hatte mir Carstens angefangene und unfertige Zuglandschaft im Gästezimmer angesehen und hatte voll Bock das zusammenzubauen. Hat riesigen Spaß gemacht.
A rainy Sunday morning meant taking your time and not doing anything in a hurry. So I looked at Carsten's guestroom with the unfinished train land set up and thought to get into and finish some tracks. It was fun to set up more railways and put this together as far as possible. I enjoyed it very much!
Es ist schon irgendwie zufriedenstellend, das Endergebnis zu sehen.
It's actually a bit satisfying having to put this together. The results are visible.
Der fleißige Carsten hat dann alles komplett vollständig erweitert - ich könnte mich direkt wieder da hinsetzen und alle Schienenwege ausprobieren.

The diligent Carsten extended it to its full completion, well done! I could sit down again and try all the different train tracks out.
Dann hatte sich das Wetter doch noch verbessert und wir gingen erst zum Wellenbad und anschließend mit den Scootern eine Runde durch Whangarei, um das Stadtbecken und den Fahrradpark herum.
The weather improved and we went to the local swimming pool and afterwards we took the scooters for a ride around Whangarei town basin and the bike park.
