Its New Zealand Summer time and that means: Thinking ahead of getting hay for the winter!
I wanted to keep my expenses low, therefore I arranged the hay with Keith's help to pick up behind the baler for a cheaper price.
Und so sah das ganze dann aus:
And thats what it all looked like:
It was a first in first served basis. Luckily Keith and myself were ready with truck & float ready to go. We just waited for the message from the Farmer drown the road - so we had only 3 mins to drive to the hay paddock down the road.
Lucky! Second in line turned up and that was good. Waiting for the farmer to let us know where to go - and waiting for the baler to finish the paddock. Looks like the second paddock will be the one for Gracies hay.
Hot, sunny and perfect conditions for the hay loading.
Warten bis es losgeht... Ich hatte die zweite Weide, 23 Ballen. Erstmal genug fuers erste.
Waiting for the thumbs up.. As predicted it was the 2nd paddock and all up got to 23 bales. Thats enough for now and the bales need to be loaded in the hay shed as well... rain forecast for later.
Was fuer eine koerperliche Arbeit immer dahinter steckt...
2 hours later, its all packed and wrapped.
What a physical work! Doesn't look like a big job but it actually was... Looks like nothing!
