Am 31.12. Sylvester Nacht gehe ich ja immer gern nachts mit meinen Mitschwimmern am Kohimarama Strand um 23.00 Uhr ins Wasser.
Wir schwimmen dann ein paar hundert Meter raus und sehen uns von dort die Feuerwerke der Auckland city und die Licht-Show der Harbour Brücke an. Ganz ungestört und ohne Menschenmassen.

On the New year's Eve night I like to go and meet my swim mates at Kohimarama beach for our midnight swim. We meet 23.00 h and swim a few hundred metres out to the marker buoy. From there we can watch the midnight fireworks from the Auckland Sky Tower in the city and the light show at the Harbour Bridge. Nice without crowds.
Und Berliner dürfen nicht fehlen..
And of course Berliner doughnuts are a must have!
